The Vaganova Summer School intensive programs are taught by Mansur Kamaletdinov, Ballet Master and are designed for the committed dancer of an intermediate, advanced or pre-professional level.
The Vaganova Summer School Classical Variations Program focuses on the study and perfection of repertoire from major classical ballets in the original choreography of Petipa, Fokine, Ivanov, Vainonen and Chabukiani. The 2009 program will include variations from Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Raymonda, Nutcracker, Don Quixote and Laurencia. Click here for more information.
The Vaganova Summer School Character Dance Program will cover the fundamentals of Classical Character Dance, including Barre & Exercise and repertoire of various etudes from national styles that feature prominently in classical ballets, including: Polish (Mazurka, others), Hungarian (Csardas), Italian (Tarantella), Russian (Various), Spanish (Jota, Flamenco), Romanian/Moldavian (Various) and Gypsy/Romany (Various).
